Court proceedings continued Monday for Usher and Tameka Raymond in the fight for custody of their two sons...
In the wake of Tamkea's son Kile's tragic death, the mourning mother decided to push forward with trial...
Usher and Tameka have a co-parenting agreement for 4-year-old Usher Raymond V and 3-year-old Naviyd, but Usher is seeking sole custody of the boys, saying Tameka is not a good mother.
Usher's attorney brought forth a psychologist that insisted Tameka has a severe mental disorder.
Usher told the court Monday that he tries to focus on his children when they are with him, but sometimes he has to juggle other commitments.
“I try to do all of my work when I don’t have the children, but there may be times when there’s an obligation of something that comes up,” he said.
Tameka Raymond responded to Usher’s statements the following day, saying that the scheduled visitation days were not followed through with due to the passing of her son:
“Of course, there was no provision for visitation regarding the death of a child. I’m sorry I didn’t stick with my visit days, but my son passed,”
When asked about her past, Tameka Raymond admitted to not being the most responsible person, writing bad checks and stealing too:
“Yes, I stole things,” Foster said. “I stole diapers before. I’ve gone in 7-Eleven and stolen diapers out of the store. I admit it. I was 19 years old. I’m not proud of it. I wouldn’t do it now.”
Tameka acknowledged that she is not a perfect person and has grown since then. And she also says that she “begged” Usher to withdraw his petition against her:
“I was like, ‘It’s ridiculous, are you mad at me? I don’t know why. You know your kids are fine. They’re happy. They’re productive.’ … Maybe I don’t do everything perfectly, but I do the best I can,”
Tameka Raymond stated in her filing that Usher “visited Kile in the hospital only once,” during his days on life support. Tameka said that Usher didn’t care about her or Kile and when asked to tweet “Please Pray For Kile” from his Twitter account, Usher refused to do so.
Tameka is asking the courts to continue their joint custody with a $3k increase in child support from $8,000/ month to $11,000/ month.

Who do think should win: Usher or Tameka?
