Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson prior domestic violence arrest record (click Pink for more), may play a role in his current case for 'head butting' wife Evelyn Lozada...
Chad could be facing one year in prison if convicted...
According to reports, Ochocinco could be placed behind bars for head butting Lozada because he previously had a domestic violence charge in 2000. Chad plead no contest in a California court for slapping his then-girlfriend after they got into a heated argument. He was sentenced to community service for that incident. Because of that, Johnson’s current misdemeanor domestic violence charge could be upgraded to a felony. If the prosecution chooses to upgrade the charge, Johnson could be facing a year in the slammer.
Fort Lauderdale, Florida attorney Paul Molle stated, “Florida law indeed gives that power to prosecutors. Whether the previous incident happened in California or Florida, it doesn’t make a difference. I’ve seen it done with other suspects.” It must be noted Molle isn’t directly affiliated with the Chad Johnson case, but he is a specialist in litigating domestic violence cases.
Do you think Chad should go to jail for assaulting Ev?
